PVC patches have become a popular trend as the PVC patch market has grown. Many fashion enthusiasts and corporate promoters began to customize a wide range of special PVC patches. However, as a layperson, it may be difficult to distinguish between 2D PVC patches and 3D PVC patches.
2D PATCH:
The most common 2-Dimensional PVC patch we’re discussing has two or more layers. When viewed from the side, each of the layers is flat; there is no circular arc, roundness, or curvy feeling. Like a ladder, each layer of 2D PVC patches can be in the same horizontal plane or in a different plane level. There are various high layers, but each layer’s surface is flat. The 3D PVC patch has three layers and is lumpy. It appears to be a patchwork of several PVC patches. Its layers are all horizontal, there is no curvature, and it is embossed 2D PVC Patches. The 2D effect is made up of layers and levels, but if you look at the patch sideways, the levels are flat. The standard PVC patch has a 2D effect that is suitable for all types of designs, whether they are text-based, have faces or objects.
3D PATCH:
3D PVC Patches can provide us with a sense of three-dimensionality and a vivid feeling. This 3D stereoscopic effect could be a layer or multiple layers, but its stereoscopic effect is derived from curvature, and the 3D PVC patch could have one or more curved layers. The 3D effect is stereographic and has some depth. The 3D effect is made up of levels, but when viewed from the side, the level is sculpted, giving it a round and swollen appearance. The 3D effect is ideal for designs with faces and living creatures, as well as objects where you believe a sculpted level will make that particular aspect of the design stand out from the rest of the patch.
DIFFERENCE IN BETWEEN 2D AND 3D PATCH:
2D PVC patches have many layers, similar to a staircase, but each layer is a horizontal plane. 3D PVC patches that look like a small hill, but the raised parts are smooth and round.
When comparing the 2D patch to the 3D patch, the 2D patch is less expensive. The 3D patch is more vibrant than the 2D patch. If you need to customize a large batch of PVC patches while keeping costs under control, 2D process PVC patches are an option. You can choose the 3D process to customize the animal and cartoon character PVC patches or PVC keychain because the 3D PVC patch is more stereoscopic and realistic.
BOTTOM LINE:
When designing faces or objects, it is not always necessary to use a 3D effect. The decision is yours, and it is based on your creative thinking. You want to make the patch visually appealing, and 3D isn’t necessary for that. Because they are designed in this manner, 2D patches can sometimes look much better than 3D patches. You can also combine the two effects on a single design to create a much more visually appealing patch.
